Shipping Policy

Shipping Methods & Rates
Full Bikes (LTL Freight)

All complete bikes ship via LTL freight to ensure safe and secure delivery due to size and weight.

  • Flat Rate: $178 to the lower 48 U.S. states
  • Ships from our California warehouse
  • We currently do not ship to Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, or international destinations
Parts & Accessories

Smaller items ship via UPS, FedEx, or USPS (lower 48 states only).

  • Free shipping on orders over $50
  • Flat Rate: $10 for orders under $50
Order Processing
  • Orders typically process within 1–3 business days before being picked up by the carrier.
  • You will receive tracking information once your order ships.

Transit Times

Estimated delivery times after carrier pickup:

  • 3–7 business days to major metropolitan areas
  • 5–12 business days to rural areas

Transit times may vary based on distance, carrier schedules, and local freight terminal operations.

Delivery Details (LTL Freight)

Once your bike ships:

  • You will receive a freight tracking number
  • The freight carrier will contact you to schedule a delivery appointment
  • All deliveries are curbside delivery only

Curbside delivery means the driver will deliver to the end of your driveway or curb. The carrier is not required to move the shipment inside your home or garage. An adult (18+) must be present to sign for delivery.

Inspection Upon Delivery

Before signing the Bill of Lading (BOL), carefully inspect the packaging.

If you notice any damage:

  • Clearly note the damage on the BOL
  • Take clear photos of the packaging and product
  • Contact us immediately

Failure to document damage at the time of delivery may limit our ability to file a freight claim on your behalf. If a delivery attempt is made and no one is available, a redelivery fee may apply.

Missed Deliveries, Order Changes & Refusals
  • If delivery is missed and the carrier must return, redelivery fees may apply.
  • Order changes or cancellations must be requested before the shipment leaves our warehouse.
  • Once the freight carrier has picked up the shipment, changes cannot be made.

Unauthorized refused deliveries may result in return freight charges and restocking fees.

Return, Refund & Cancellation

ORDER CANCELLATION
Before Shipment

If your order has not yet been shipped, you may request a cancellation by contacting our customer support team. We will do our best to process your request quickly. Orders move into processing and freight scheduling rapidly, so cancellation before shipment is not always guaranteed. No cancellation fee applies before shipment.

After Shipment

Once an order has been picked up by our shipping partners, it is considered in transit and cannot be canceled free of charge. If you request to cancel after shipment, the shipment must be returned to our warehouse. The following carrier/processing fees may apply:

  • Return Shipping Costs: Charged by the carrier to return the product to our warehouse. Costs vary depending on the shipping method and the size/weight of the item.
  • Reroute Fee (case by case): If you request an address change while the shipment is already in transit, the freight carrier may charge a reroute fee.
    This fee is not always applicable, and depends on the carrier’s policy and the shipment’s status.

Cancellation is not possible once the order has been delivered.

RETURN POLICY

We accept returns within 30 days of delivery, as long as the product meets the following conditions:

  • Unused and in new condition
  • No damage, scratches, or signs of riding
  • Returned in the complete original packaging
  • All components, accessories, tools, and manuals included

Products that are used, damaged, modified, or missing parts/packaging are not eligible for return.

For eligible returns, refunds will be issued for the purchase price minus any shipping and handling fees. Refunds are processed once the product is received and inspected at our warehouse, and the final refund amount will depend on the product’s condition and completeness upon arrival.

Damaged or Defective on Arrival

If your item arrives damaged:

  • Inspect the package before signing
  • Take photos and contact us within 48 hours

Failure to document shipping damage may affect eligibility for a claim.

Limited Manufacturer Warranty

Frame – 3-Year Limited Warranty

78 FORGED frames are covered by a 3-year limited warranty to the original retail purchaser, against defects in materials and workmanship under normal riding conditions.

This warranty covers:

  • Cracks or breakage of the main frame structure
  • Weld failures
  • Structural defects that make the frame unsafe or unusable

This warranty does not cover:

  • Damage caused by abnormal or abusive riding, including but not limited to extreme jumps, stunts, racing, crashes, overloading, or any other misuse
  • Damage resulting from intentional destruction, impact with external objects, or obvious signs of deliberate abuse
  • Damage caused by unauthorized modifications, welding, drilling, cutting, or improper repairs
Battery – 1-Year Limited Warranty

78 FORGED battery packs are covered by a 1-year limited warranty to the original retail purchaser, protecting against defects in materials and workmanship under normal use and proper charging practices.

This warranty covers:

  • Manufacturing defects in battery cells or modules
  • BMS (Battery Management System) malfunction not caused by misuse
  • Abnormal capacity loss that is proven to be the result of internal defects (not aging from regular use)

This warranty does not cover:

  • Damage caused by opening, modifying, or disassembling the battery pack
  • Use of non-original or incompatible chargers
  • Water ingress due to exceeding the stated IP rating or submerging the battery
  • Damage caused by crashes, impacts, drops, or external forces
  • Normal capacity fade over time that occurs with regular charging cycles
  • Burnt components resulting from over-current, overloading, or bypassing factory safety limits
Motor – 1-Year Limited Warranty

78 FORGED motors are covered by a 1-year limited warranty to the original retail purchaser, protecting against defects in materials and workmanship under normal riding conditions.

This warranty covers:

  • Internal motor failures caused by manufacturing defects
  • Stator or rotor defects not related to external damage
  • Factory wiring or connector issues

This warranty does not cover:

  • Motor damage caused by water ingress beyond the stated IP rating
  • Burnt windings resulting from overloading, prolonged overheating, or improper gearing
  • Damage caused by controller modifications, over-voltage, over-current, or bypassing factory limits
  • Impact, crash, or collision damage to the motor housing or axle
  • Damage caused by unauthorized repairs, opening the motor, or altering internal components
Controller – 1-Year Limited Warranty

78 FORGED controllers are covered by a 1-year limited warranty to the original retail purchaser, protecting against defects in materials and workmanship under normal operating conditions.

This warranty covers:

  • Internal component failures caused by manufacturing defects
  • Firmware-related malfunctions not caused by unauthorized modifications
  • Factory wiring or connector issues related to the controller

This warranty does not cover:

  • Damage caused by water ingress beyond the stated IP rating
  • Controller failure resulting from misuse, over-voltage, improper wiring, or reversed polarity
  • Damage caused by installing third-party motors, batteries, or chargers that exceed factory specifications
  • Failures caused by bypassing, reflashing, or modifying the stock controller settings or firmware
  • Impact or crash damage to the controller housing
  • Heat damage resulting from obstructed airflow, improper mounting, or external factors
Electronics & Charger – 1-Year Limited Warranty

This section covers all core electronic components supplied by 78 FORGED. These parts are protected by a 1-year limited warranty to the original retail purchaser, against defects in materials and workmanship under normal use.

Included components:

  • Display / dashboard
  • Throttle assembly
  • Brake sensors
  • Wiring harness
  • Power switches & control buttons
  • PAS / hall sensors
  • Original 78 FORGED battery charger

This warranty covers:

  • Electronic component failures caused by manufacturing defects
  • Wiring or connector issues originating from factory assembly
  • Charger malfunction not resulting from misuse or improper voltage supply

This warranty does not cover:

  • Damage caused by water ingress beyond the component’s stated IP rating
  • Failures caused by incorrect installation, pinched or cut wires, or modifications
  • Damage from using third-party chargers or incompatible electrical accessories
  • Burnt components due to short circuits, over-voltage, improper grounding, or tampering
  • Impact, crash, external force damage, or signs of misuse
  • Cosmetic wear, scratches, or normal aging of electronic surfaces
Mechanical Parts – No Warranty (Except DOA)

Mechanical components are not covered under warranty, except in cases where the part arrives defective on arrival (DOA).
This means any structural, functional, or assembly-related defects must be reported immediately upon receiving the product.

Included components:

  • Brake system (calipers, master cylinders, rotors, brake lines)
  • Front and rear suspension assemblies (fork, shock absorber)
  • Steering components (handlebar, stem, headset, clamps)
  • Wheelset (rims, spokes, hubs; excludes damage from impacts or improper use)
  • Drivetrain components (chain, sprockets, chain guides)
  • Foot pegs, mounts, levers, and other mechanical hardware

Important:
Customers are required to inspect all mechanical components upon delivery.
If any part is found to be damaged, defective, or missing, please contact us within 48 hours at: help@78forged.com or via help.78forged.com.

Claims submitted after initial delivery inspection, or damage that occurs during use, installation, or adjustment, will not be covered under this section.

Consumable Parts – No Warranty (Except DOA)

Consumable parts are subject to regular wear and tear and therefore are not covered under warranty, except when the item arrives defective on arrival (DOA).
Any issues must be reported immediately upon receiving the product.

Included consumable parts:

  • Tires and inner tubes
  • Brake pads
  • Grips
  • Chain and wear-related drivetrain components
  • Sprockets (front and rear)
  • Bearings (wheel bearings, headset bearings)
  • Cables, seals, and O-rings
  • Cosmetic items (stickers, decals, plastics with surface scuffs)

Important:
Customers must inspect consumable parts at the time of delivery.

Claims related to wear, improper installation, riding conditions, or normal deterioration are not eligible for warranty replacement.

Warranty Claim Instructions

If you believe your product has a defect covered under this warranty, please follow the steps below to submit a claim:

Prepare the required information:

  • Order number or proof of purchase
  • Vehicle VIN or product serial number
  • Clear description of the issue
  • Photos or videos showing the defect

Contact our support team:

  1. Response time:
    Our support team will review your claim and respond within 48 hours with next steps.
  2. Return or inspection:
    In some cases, we may request the defective part to be shipped back for inspection.
    The method of inspection, replacement, or repair will be determined by 78 FORGED based on the nature of the defect.
  3. Unauthorized repairs:
    Any attempt to repair, modify, or disassemble the product before a claim is reviewed will void the warranty for that component.

General Limitations & Legal Terms

This limited warranty represents the exclusive warranty provided by 78 FORGED and supersedes all other warranties, whether written, verbal, or implied.

Exclusions of Liability

This warranty does not cover:

  • Damage caused by accidents, misuse, abuse, neglect, improper maintenance, or commercial use
  • Damage resulting from modifications, non-original parts, or unauthorized repairs
  • Normal wear and tear, cosmetic issues, and aging-related performance changes

78 FORGED is not liable for:

  • Incidental or consequential damages
  • Loss of use, loss of time, loss of revenue, or any indirect costs
  • Personal injury or property damage resulting from improper use of the product
No Implied Warranties

To the maximum extent permitted by law, all implied warranties, including warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose, are disclaimed.
If such warranties cannot be legally disclaimed in your region, they are limited to the duration of the express warranty stated above.

Warranty Non-Transferable

This warranty applies only to the original retail purchaser and is not transferable to subsequent owners.

Governing Law

This warranty is governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
